Today there’s apparently something of a half-hearted internet blackout
to oppose CISPA — and don’t get me wrong: I love the idea, but this particular blackout seems to be woefully misinformed. One of the main images people are using
totally confuses what CISPA does (information sharing without warrant, permission, any regard for liberty and privacy, etc.) with what SOPA would have done (shutting down websites because of alleged copyright infringements).
So, if you’re participating in today’s blackout, a few things:
