Hi, I'm Bonnie.

My site is bonniekristian.com, which Google determined was a good result for searches of "hipster libertarian." Thus this tumblr.

If you have a question, please check over my FAQ page first. That's also where you'll submit your query.

My other tumblr is [ˈkɾeːdoː].

ninefruits asked: The point I was trying to make is the free-market creates almost constant change, and for the most part this change is positive both technologically and socially. Positive change should be described as "progressive". A broad definition of the term "conservative" is a dislike or distrust of change. While "fiscally conservative" may be in the public consciousness as what is meant by favouring the free-market. This ignores the outcomes. Terminology should reflect outcomes.

I’m not saying it shouldn’t.  I’m saying it doesn’t, and I’m not going to try to waste my time changing the terminology of an entire culture.  I also don’t call what the average libertarian believes “liberalism” because while that’s accurate, it would only be understood by a very small minority — and that’s with the benefit of a historical basis for using the term that way.  There is no historical basis for using the term “progressive” for free market, limited government ideas, and it’s a poor use of my limited resources to address the issue.
