theradioschizo asked: The oddest thing about the last poster's objections was accessibility. Does he understand how capitalism works? If there are people who aren't getting education who desire one (that would be called a demand) then it is in a capitalists best interest to pride the service (let's call it... supply!). Lets think of how supply and demand affects markets... Oh yeah, when businesses are making a profit, others spring up to compete for the customer's business, driving down price and increasing quality of service.
Even assuming that private schools actually cost more than public schools (which they don't), this is coming from a market where competition for customer's is EXTREMELY stifled. People are paying for private school ON TOP of public school and so the demand (and therefore supply and therefore competition) is extremely limited. Using today's prices as a standard of how expensive something will be in a free market is... ridiculous. Now take into account that private education is ALREADY cheaper, the argument just fails like en epileptic with a strobe light in his face trying to out-swim Michael Phelps.
I’m just going to post this with no additions. Because it’s pretty great as-is.
